After a private first look, Shirly, Ryan and I spent some time exploring the resort and taking in the gorgeous VT foliage before meeting a few of their closest family and friends for “I do”. I showed up at the condo they rented bright (well, still kinda dark!) and early to snag some getting ready shots. We tossed around tons of ideas – everything from a morning hike to watch the sunrise to a mid-morning ceremony – and eventually settled on an in-between: A sunrise elopement at Jay Peak Resort in Vermont. They are dog people and they were down for a sunrise elopement. With a destination wedding planned for the future but the uncertainty of COVID travel restrictions, they wanted to take a step back from that stress and focus on what really matters – EACH OTHER.
